Coverage: 26 active published awards; 22 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
The Single Statement of Need (SSON), for an emergency breathing system is: UK MOD personnel shall, as far as is reasonably practicable, be provided the means to extend time underwater so that escape from an aircraft, which has capsized or submerged as a result of an attempted controlled ditching or an uncontrolled water impact, is achievable if not constrained by external factors outside of what is expected.
Aim of the procurement is to:
1. Procure an Emergency Breathing System (EBS) to BSEN 4856: 2018 and to reduce Risk to Life (RtL) to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP);
2. Create a contract which provides a through-life procurement and support solution to improve repairs and spares availability, reduce delivery times and minimise the future contract management burden for The Authority: and
3. Maintain or reduce the overall cost of ownership through life.
