- Lot 1 · #1Construction of energy centre and operation and maintenance of heat networkactivePublished value£7,000,000•Design and build of the Energy Centre containing the heat pump, boilers and thermal store, and the remotely located bore hole pumps and ancillary equipment which together with the heat network installed by the LOT 2 contractor and the Existing Works shall be commissioned and set to work by the LOT 1 contractor as an entire heat network using an IET MF1 (rev 6) contract entered into by the Council and the successful bidder. •Design review and adoption of the DH Network to be constructed by the LOT 2 contractor and the review and adoption of the Existing Works together with the subsequent Operation and Maintenance of the entire Heat Network Scheme, which shall include the Energy Centre and all plant and equipment contained therein as well as the heat network installed by the LOT 2 contractor, entered into by CAEL and the successful bidder, using a bespoke contract for 5 years with the option for CAEL to extend for up to a further 5 years. Additional information: Colchester Borough Council reserves the right to cancel the procurement at any stage of the process and not to proceed with the award of any contract.
