CMCV 114 - Specialist Short Breaks: Holiday Club
Authority: Shropshire Council (Local council)
What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionThis is an award notice for the provision of a Specialist Community Based Holiday Club during school holidays for Children and Young People with a Disability.
This contract supports children and young people resident within the Local Authority area of Shropshire, excluding The Borough of Telford & Wrekin.
Support provision will be largely delivered in Shropshire with the flexibility to access community activities outside of the area to achieve a varied and attractive short breaks holiday club offer.
This service forms an integral part of the overall short breaks offer for children and young people with a disability and their families. It ensures that the council meets its statutory duty for the provision of short breaks during school holidays, providing both fun activities and opportunities for children with a disability and enabling parent carers a break from their caring responsibilities.

- Price carries 20 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 2 points. The method statement decides this lot, not the discount.
Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.

In order to gather insight and feedback from potential suppliers we are holding Market Engagement Events which will be delivered through the following activities -
- A Provider Event on Thursday 23rd April which will be an in-person event held in The Whitchurch Room, The Guildhall, Shrewsbury.
This will be open to national and local providers of children’s services, as well as Shropshire based SEND Academies and Trusts. The session will outline the councils current commissioning arrangements for all short breaks for children with SEND and/or complex health needs, confirm what we would like to achieve through this commissioning opportunity and seek market feedback on how we can achieve the outcomes we require.
Please email [email protected] to confirm attendance by 5pm Monday 20th April 2026.
- A further Provider Event on 7th May. It is anticipated that this will be an online event via Microsoft Teams.
This will build on the insight from the April Market Engagement Event and other collaborative and coproduction events, with the aim of informing our commissioning intention.
