- Why no open competition
- Single Suppliers Technical Reasons
- Published justification
The Trust engaged with a number of suppliers and reviewed available solution capabilities. Whilst alternative solutions could provide chest X-ray AI functionality, none demonstrated the same combination of integration capability, platform functionality and support for the Trust's future radiology AI strategy.
The proposed supplier offers a single platform capable of supporting both current and future AI applications, including potential future brain CT and other radiology AI modules, through a common integration and support model. The solution also aligns with the Trust's existing Philips PACS environment and broader objective of consolidating radiology AI services through a single platform.
The Trust therefore considers the supplier uniquely positioned to meet both the current requirement and anticipated future integration, standardisation and scalability requirements.
