- Change The modification relates to additional funding of £1,006,486 for the period 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027. The additional funding is linked to the Schedule 3D core ICB finance arrangements for Lancashire and South Cumbria patient access to cancer care services delivered under the existing contract. The relevant authority has assessed the modification and is satisfied that it does not render the contract materially different in character. The modification is financial in nature, relates to services already within the scope of the existing cancer care services contract, and does not introduce a new provider, extend the contract term, or materially alter the service model. This modification notice is being published in accordance with the Provider Selection Regime 2023 Schedule 12. The modification was approved by the relevant Place Director in accordance with the ICB's Scheme of Reservation and Delegation. Conflicts of interest were considered as part of the decision-making process and no relevant conflicts were identified in relation to this modification., Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee: This modification is made under Regulation 13 of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The original contract was awarded under Direct Award Process A to the existing provider of the relevant health care services. As the cumulative value of modifications during the contract term is £500,000 or more, this notice is published in accordance with the PSR transparency requirements and Schedule 12 of the Regulations. The modification is required to reflect agreed funding arrangements for the 2026/27 contract year. The original contract value was £276,966,000. The value of this modification is £1,006,486, resulting in a revised total contract value of £277,972,486. The modification does not change the contract term, provider identity, or the core scope of the services and so does not render the contract materially different in character and relates to additional funding for services within the scope of the existing cancer care services contract.
