Payment obligations depend on the applicable regime and contract. Consult the official documents.
Coverage: 1 active published awards; 0 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Procedure rationaleCoventry and Warwickshire Pathology Services (“CWPS”) have been commissioned to provide pathology services at Queens Hospitals Burton (“QHB”) until October 2021; after this date the services at QHB will be provided by University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (“UHDB”). CWPS is a managed network of laboratories hosted by University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust. Laboratory services are provided by laboratories at University Hospital, Coventry, South Warwickshire Hospital, Warwick and George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton. There is an existing contract between Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Services (“CWPS”) and the supplier, Ortho Clinical Diagnostics (“OCD”) for the provision of Blood Transfusion equipment. This contract expires on the 29/05/2025 Using the equipment supplied under that contract UHCW (through its internal service provision arm CWPS) has been providing path services to Queens Hospital Burton which is part of University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust UHDB NHS Foundation Trust. UHDBFT (Burton) now intend to bring those services in-house (the insourcing) but they need to keep the existing equipment on site. The insourcing will take place on 1st October 2021. Burton will as a result replace UHCW in the relationship with OCD (only in relation to the equipment already on the Burton site. In all other respects the contract remains unchanged. This process aligns with the regulations set out in 32.5b of the Public Contract Regulations.
