Published requirement descriptionNHS Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are awarding and merging the Practice lists of Beggarwood Practice with Camrose, Gillies & Hackwood (CGH) Partnership. A market engagement exercise with all North Mid Hampshire practices was carried out in May 2021 seeking for expressions of interest for a list merger and two providers responded. A tender process was undertaken to select a successful provider from these two providers only. The contract will be held in perpetuity unless otherwise terminated by the commissioner or provider in line with the terms and conditions of the contract and will start on the 1st February 2022.

The opportunity was only advertised to providers of General Medical Services already operating within North and Mid Hampshire, Furthermore, a single provider for the site will not support the preferred Primary Care Network model. A list merger will bring Beggarwood into a local Primary Care Network, and making it part of a larger local practice will ensure financial affordability and stability due to the ability to support economies of scale in the local system.
