    • Change The modification incorporates the Barts Tower Hamlets Community Health Services (CHS) into the existing Barts Health Acute Services Contract following the expiry of the existing CHS contract. The services being incorporated include children's continence, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, community nursing and community paediatrics; adult and paediatric audiology; sexual and reproductive health services; community diabetes; adult respiratory care and rehabilitation; heart failure and cardiovascular services; cardiac rehabilitation; community neurology; stroke rehabilitation; musculoskeletal services; community dietetics; and health psychology. The modification ensures continuity of service provision within Tower Hamlets. There is no change to the existing contract duration, which runs from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2028, with provision for a one-year extension. The modification relates to the period of 1st October 2026-31st March 2028., Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire: Barts Health NHS Trust is the existing provider of the acute and relevant community healthcare services. A change of provider would require separate mobilisation and contractual arrangements, potentially resulting in duplication of costs, disruption to established clinical pathways and risks to continuity of care. Incorporating the Tower Hamlets Community Health Services into the existing contract supports integrated and continuous service provision.
