Payment obligations depend on the applicable regime and contract. Consult the official documents.
Coverage: 133 active published awards; 129 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

HES requires high quality audio content that is compatible with the handsets that are used. The content must be suitable for all visitors both adults and children and will in some cases include tours in various languages including the British Sign Language and for specific visitor groups (eg families and visually impaired visitors)HES will provide detailed information about the sites and the key stops so that the supplier can produce the high quality files for tours of a variety of times and in various languages. Some sites will only require updates to key stops on the routes at the sites as opposed to re-doing the whole recording for the site.

Procedure rationaleThe current supplier of this service has gone into liquidation (Antenna International) and the assets have been purchased by another company (ATS Heritage). To ensure unbroken continuity of service of the audio guides, software and web applications, and to ensure that there is minimum impact upon HES resources, it is HES’s intention to award a contract to ATS Heritage for a maximum duration of 24 months. The contract will provide some stability for the recovery of our sites owing to the impact of the COVID global pandemic and will also allow HES time to review the future requirements before going back to the marketplace for a new audio guide content and maintenance contract.
