    The Services include the management of the Farm and Farm Business at Westfield farm; specifically the management of the dairy, beef and sheep enterprises and associated forage and arable crop production, working in conjunction with the Curriculum provision of agricultural education. The farm comprises approximately 240 ha of land and buildings which include a dairy unit comprising of a 20:20 rapid exit parlour, a robotic milking unit, cubicle housing and associated handling areas and infrastructure, a purpose calf rearing and beef finishing unit, forage clamps and waste handling facilities. The responsibilities of the Farm Manager include, but are not limited to: - All aspects of animal welfare, husbandry and production - All aspects of crop husbandry and production - Input purchasing and output marketing - Management, service and maintenance of machinery, vehicles and equipment - Financial planning and management including budgets, cashflows and forecasts - Strategic planning and development of business plans - Reporting as required to the College executive - Recruitment and management of farm staff, work planning and staff rotas - Implementing H&S policies - Implementing environment and sustainability policies - Providing regular updates on activity and performance to the College staff and students - Co-ordinating student involvement in farm activities and operations
