Coverage: 2 active published awards; 2 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Procedure rationaleThe Secretary of State for Defence, acting by the Defence General Munitions Team (DGM PT), intends to enter into a contract with IPT Ltd (the Supplier) for the procurement of CEOFE Type B1A. The estimated total value of the procurement is £42,169.50 ex-VAT.
In accordance with regulation 4 of The Defence and Security Public Contracts (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (SI 2019/697) this procurement falls to be regulated under the provisions of the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011 as amended (in particular by SI 2019/697 and SI 2020/1450). Prior publication of a contract notice in the Official Journal of the European Union is no longer appropriate. It is considered that the award of the contract without prior publication of a contract notice in the UK e-notification service (in accordance with the relevant legislation) is lawful in accordance with regulation 16(1)(a)(ii) of the DSPCR 2011 on the basis that for technical reasons as the original equipment manufacturers sole global distributor for this product the Supplier alone has the technical designs, tools, parts, knowledge and know-how necessary to meet the requirements set out in the Contract. |
