Without enduring support, the serviceability of the navigational data distribution communication system, which is needed for Command and control, cannot be guaranteed. CRPA, PFS and NAVFIX are critical for platform navigation and deployment. \nIt is considered that the award of this contract extension by way of an amendment without prior publication of a contract notice in the UK e-notification service (as required by the relevant legislation) is lawful in accordance Regulation 16(1)(a)(ii) of the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011 (SI 1848) for technical reasons, on the basis that the contract may be awarded only to the Company for technical reasons. Only the Company possesses the expertise to deliver this requirement as only they own the specialist equipment, tooling, and only they possess the unique background knowledge, and information and understanding of these specific capabilities to meet the Authority’s technical requirements under the contract.",
