Coverage: 343 active published awards; 328 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Stroke Association currently delivers post-acute stroke care in the Wakefield District and has built up a strong working relationship with the local therapy team, from whom it receives 200 referrals per annum. These 200 referrals represent the patient cohort that the Commissioner is specifically seeking to target to ensure that each is offered a 6-month review, post-stroke. Individuals within this cohort are most likely to require, and value, a 6-month review, as they are those receiving post-acute care to aid their recovery from a stroke.

Procedure rationaleThe proposed contractor, the Stroke Association, currently delivers post-acute stroke care in the Wakefield District and has built up a strong working relationship with the local therapy team, from whom it receives 200 referrals per annum. These 200 referrals represent the patient cohort that the Commissioner is specifically seeking to target to ensure that each is offered a 6-month review, post-stroke. Individuals within this cohort is most likely to require, and value, a 6-month review, as they are those receiving post-acute care to aid their recovery from a stroke . The subsequent rationale is that the proposed contractor holds a unique position to be able to deliver this care from the 01/04/2023, following the decision of the Local Authority in December 2022 to decommission a contracted provider from undertaking these reviews.
