Published requirement descriptionProvision of Mental Illness Health checks Outreach in Luton for NHS Bedfordshire, Luton & Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board The SMI Outreach Project aims to address the health inequality faced by people living with severe mental illness (SMI) in Bedfordshire. The life expectancy for individuals with SMI is 15-20 years shorter than the general population, and this disparity is partly due to physical health needs being neglected. The project is intended to improve the physical health of people with SMI and increase their uptake of physical health checks and health screening through a tailored outreach service. This service is aimed at those who have not routinely engaged with their GP practice. Work to address this inequality is part of Core20Plus5, NHS England’s flagship approach for tackling health inequalities. - Technical: Bidders will be evaluated on the robustness of their proposed service delivery model, approach, reporting, experience and ability to meet the specification requirements.
- Financial: Tender prices will be scored on a comparative basis, with the lowest compliant tender (excluding any tenders that the Commissioner(s) rejects as being abnormally low or non-compliant) receiving 100% of the available marks (15.00% following weighting). All other tenders will be compared against that lowest tender using the formula: (A / B) x 15 A = price of lowest compliant tender B = price of the tender being evaluated. Example Supplier A – Price £400.00 Supplier B – Price £450.00 Supplier C – Price £500.00 Supplier A will be awarded the full 15.00% Supplier B will be awarded 13.33% (400/450*15.00) Supplier C will be awarded 12.00% (400/500*15.00)
- Price carries 15 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 1.5 points. The method statement decides this lot, not the discount.
