The scope of this contract is for the maintenance and repair of a stock of approximately 450 Roll-On Roll-Off (RORO) Containers. As the statutory waste disposal authority for Essex, Essex County Council (the Authority) is responsible for providing a range of infrastructure and arrangements for the management of waste. The scope of this contract is for the maintenance and repair of a stock of approximately 140 units of pedestrian Access Steps which are used daily by members of public to gain access to the Authority’s 40 cubic yard containers and safely deposit waste. The Authority’s sites may, at times, also require site additional maintenance and fabrication work to be undertaken and therefore the successful Contractor must have the ability to provide Adhoc Maintenance Works.

Comparable-procurement analytics

Benchmarked against retained Find a Tender procedures with CPV division 44. The category anchor is Containers for waste material (44613800); this is a deliberately broad market comparator. The comparison is shown at several levels rather than pretending one company or region is always the best benchmark.

“Reported bids” is an official aggregate, sometimes reported per lot; it is the closest available competition measure. “Named award suppliers” are winners, not all applicants.

Price-outcome signal

Not enough comparable procedures currently publish both a GBP tender value and a usable lowest-valid-bid value to calculate a responsible price-reduction benchmark. Tenderline deliberately does not infer a saving from named award suppliers or from missing award values.

The maximum contract value is to be adhered to based on the cumulative value of both Lots.\nDue to the nature of this requirement being for the provision of services required following a request by the Authority, the contract value for each Lot reflects a quotation of a weighted basket which included hourly rates, travel rates and a basket of services.
