What is being bought

Published requirement description

The procurement sought to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced roofing contractor to undertake roof renewal works at Byker Lodge, Bolam Way, Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne.

The works include:

  • removal of the existing roof coverings;
  • replacement boarding and insulation;
  • installation of a new single-ply roofing system;
  • replacement rooflights and access hatches;
  • associated rainwater goods and drainage connections;
  • perimeter trims and cladding;
  • scaffolding and site establishment;
  • waste removal;
  • testing and handover; and
  • provision of the specified roofing performance guarantee
