Conamar will undertake the works and carry out several initiatives at Liverpool Street Arcade to improve the quality of building fabric including external refurbishment to the facades and roofs of the Arcade, which will attract a broader occupational demand to increase rental yield whilst maximising the use of the asset.

This VEAT notice relates to a permitted modification to the contract originally awarded in 2022 (following a competitive award process in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015). When the contract was let, it was below the works threshold, an extension to the contract was necessary which took the contract value above the threshold hence the VEAT Notification. Places for London considers that the modification is permitted by Regulation 72(b) / 88(b) - Additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor that have become necessary and were not included in the initial procurement. Additional Procurement Authority under NEC contract - for Compensation Events where there is no change to the scope of works.
