Procedure rationaleThis is a notice under Regulation 9 (3) of the PSR of Isle of Wight Council's intention to award the contract for the 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service to the existing provider Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust pursuant to Direct Award Process C of the PSR.
The proposed contract 5 years from 1st April 2027 until 31st March 2032 with an option to extend up to a further 2 years until 31st March 2024 at the sole discretion of the Council. The total contract value for the 5 years plus the option to extend up to 2 years is £14m.
The proposed award of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 do not apply to this proposed award.
The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made in writing in accordance with Regulation 12(3) to the Authority before 12 midnight on 11 September 2026 via email to procurement@iow.gov.uk.
