VEAT - HEE - Delivery of a Training Programme to meet the Medical Needs of Adults with a Learning Disability

Health Education England are putting out this notice as a VEAT with a view to completing a Direct Award to the Royal College of Physicians for the Delivery of a Training Programme to meet the Medical Needs of Adults with a Learning Disability (doctors, senior nurses and Allied Health Professionals (AHP’s)<br/><br/>The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal.<br/><br/>Health Education England (HEE) commissioned the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) to undertake the development of training programme to meet the medical needs of adults with a learning disability. Following extensive engagement, the training programme has been designed for doctors, nurses and allied health professionals working at a senior level to add to their skillset and to address a number of cross cutting themes. This is key to enable medical practitioners to provide high quality and person-centred care for adults with a learning disability. <br/><br/>Health Education England [HEE] believe that the RCP is the only organisation capable of supporting the delivery of such as to meet specific requirements of the HEE Learning Disability and Autism Programmes.
