Coverage: 38 active published awards; 38 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
STFC require a X-ray detector materials with high stopping power at energies up to 100keV and can operate at very high X-ray fluxes of 108 ph/mm2/s and higher, without polarisation, to meet the needs to the next generation of X-ray science facilities. A selection of detectors are required over the next 3 years to support the development and of a new generation of readout electronics and to inform the a final detector system design.
