Coverage: 253 active published awards; 251 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Planning and rationale

No-engagement rationaleNot published |
Procedure rationaleThe contract includes non-contestable and contestable work. The latter is the only work, where MRC could undertake tender exercise. Some of the routes for the cables will need to pass through neighbouring property (MAGNOX) which is a highly secured, nuclear decontamination site. Harwell have had discussions with the occupants and have been notified that no other than the utility company would be permitted to undertake work on this property. |
