What is being bought

Published requirement description

The Department for Education intends to directly award a contract to AQA Education for the development and launch of a GCSE qualification in Ukrainian, subject to Ofqual approval. The Department engaged all recognised GCSE awarding organisations to ascertain their willingness and ability to develop and deliver a GCSE qualification in Ukrainian. AQA was the only awarding organisation willing and able to undertake the requirement. The Department therefore concluded that no reasonable alternative supplier was available.
