Published requirement descriptionThis market exercise was for the provision of Pressure Infusers and Associated Products.
The Framework is between the Authority and individual Supplier(s). The Authority will be entitled to purchase Goods and/or Services which we will make available for purchase by; 1) any NHS Trust; 2) any other NHS entity; 3) any government department, agency or other statutory body and/or 4) any private sector entity active in the UK healthcare sector.
The Framework Agreement includes the following range of products;
- Lot 1 Disposable (Single Use/ Single Patient Use)
- Lot 2 Reusable Pressure Infusers
The Authority estimates that expenditure for the supply of Pressure Infusers and Associated Products during the first twelve months will be in the region of £930,000 to £1,100,000. The total estimated value of the Framework Agreement over its maximum four-year term is approximately £4,400,000. These figures are indicative only and are based on the most recent historical usage data, along with forecasted future usage.
For the avoidance of doubt and notwithstanding the estimate indicated, NHSSC does not guarantee any level of purchase through the framework and advises Suppliers that the framework has been established on a non-exclusive basis.

Published description of the framework
This Framework Agreement establishes a mechanism for the supply of Pressure Infusers and Associated Products to NHS organisations and other eligible authorities.
The Framework operates under the following principles:
Route of Supply:
Transacted route – goods/services are purchased via the online NHS Catalogue.
A call-off award made via the transacted route may be either:
Stocked products, through order by the Authority.
Or
Through an e-direct order. The goods/services are ordered by the
customer via the online NHS Catalogue.
Operational Requirements:
Awarded Suppliers must also maintain compliance to ISO 9001: 2015 and/or ISO 13485: 2016 and/or Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP) which are accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service or international equivalent.
Social Value and Sustainability:
Awarded Suppliers are required to maintain an up to date Carbon Reduction Plan.
Awarded Suppliers are required to maintain an up to date Evergreen Sustainable Supplier Assessment.
Awarded Suppliers are required to maintain Modern Slavery compliance which is monitored via the MSAT tool.
Performance and Governance:
Regular review meetings will be held to monitor performance, including but not limited to complaints and remedial actions. This Framework includes the rights for termination for convenience, material breach, as well as escalation and dispute resolution processes.

- Price carries 60 of 100 points: a 10% discount moves about 6 points. This one is won on the number: sharpen the price before polishing the prose.
- “Pressure Infusers and Associated Products” is a framework: the contest is a place on its panel, not a single contract: each call-off is a further competition, so the pricing contest starts after appointment.
Price arithmetic assumes straight proportional scoring; the tender pack may use another formula.
