The objective of this project is to improve access, usability, and the visual appeal of the site, ensuring that it continues to serve as a valued community asset for residents and visitors.\nThe scope of works includes, but is not limited to:\n•\tDesign, fabrication, and installation of a new entrance archway, creating a welcoming and distinctive focal point for the site.\n•\tRefurbishment of the existing toilet block, including internal and external upgrades to improve functionality, safety, and accessibility.\n•\tRemoval of existing bollards and installation of new bollards, improving site access control and public safety.\nStowmarket Town Council requires that all works under this contract are completed no later than the end of March 2026. This timeline aligns with a separate capital project at the Recreation Ground - the installation of a brand-new play area - and the coordination of both projects is essential to minimise disruption and deliver a joined-up transformation of the site by Easter 2026.\nContractors are expected to deliver the works to a high standard and in full compliance with all relevant legislation, health and safety requirements, and best industry practice. The successful contractor must plan and manage the works to minimise disruption to the public, as parts of the Recreation Ground may remain accessible during construction.\nTenderers must ensure that all required documentation within this tender pack is completed in full and returned by mid-day 05/12/2025. Submissions should demonstrate technical competence, relevant experience, delivery capability, programme of works, and costings. Stowmarket Town Council is committed to an open, transparent, and fair procurement process and welcomes submissions from all eligible organisations.\nContractors can arrange a site visit on the 10th and 17th of November 2025 at their own expense.
