Coverage: 4 active published awards; 3 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Planning and rationale

No-engagement rationaleNot published |
Procedure rationaleThe positive control used is a harvest of cells producing the Virus. Therefore, the most relevant negative control is a harvest of the same cells, grown by the same supplier, in the same conditions, except not producing the virus. Thus, we cannot manufacture or obtain a more relevant control from other suppliers and competition is absent for technical reasons. These controls are now a part of the UKAS accredited workflow and so are an essential part of the process thus competition is absent for technical reasons. |
