The contract provides household contents insurance to tenants and allows them to take out their own insurance to protect their contents against fire, flood, vandalism or other household risks. It was awarded to Aon UK Limited following open procedure in 2023. The contract supports council policy by ensuring tenants have access to affordable insurance to insure the contents of their home.

By submitting a Response to the ITT, Tenderers are confirming (1) acceptance of these Conditions of Contract, and (2) their ability to comply with the Conditions of Contract.

- Performance terms
The Council will review the performance of the Services in accordance with the conditions of contract to ensure that they continue to meet the requirements of the Council. The quality of the Services shall be measured by the extent to which they accord with the standards and timescales included within the Specification and the Response and to accepted professional standards.
Tenderers shall provide a Contract Manager, who will be the primary point of contact between the Tenderer and the Council. Contract management and performance review provisions are further detailed below.

- Change This modification notice relates to the option to exercise the contract for 24 months being taken up inline with Regulation 72 (1). As a result of this and an increased uptake in the programme, the total estimated value of tenant-paid insurance premiums over the full five-year contract term is 1,130,000 GBP. There is no other change to the service scope, contract terms, pricing mechanism, or duration of the contract., Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee: The increase in estimated contract value results from higher post‑tender insurance premium levels and stronger than forecast tenant uptake, including selection of higher cover levels. The original estimates were based on 2021 data and prudent assumptions prior to tender completion. These combined circumstances could not reasonably have been foreseen at the time of contract award and do not alter the nature, scope or duration of the contract.
