What is being bought
We are looking for suppliers who can provide a property as well as supported housing services for vulnerable people with complex needs. The properties must be in RBKC and will need to be available within 6 to 9 months. The service comprises of the following: Property 1 - 11 bedrooms with shared facilities (for men and women); and Property 2 - 9 self-contained flats (for women only) The Supported Housing Service for People with Complex Needs is a preventative homeless service. It is for vulnerable people aged 18 and over with housing and support needs. The service will provide safe, accommodation-based housing support services for people who are deemed to be socially excluded this includes: • people with complex needs, • people with substance misuse needs, • people with multiple needs, including mental health needs, • people with challenging behaviour(s). It will provide housing related support services with the purpose of developing or sustaining an individual's capacity to maintain their accommodation and live independently in the community. Residents may be leaving institutional care such as hospital or prison, be street homeless, threatened with homelessness or living in accommodation that is not meeting their identified needs. The service will also be used as a 'step up' or 'step down' from other supported accommodation, where appropriate. Candidates should be able demonstrate their organisation's past experience and/or existing arrangements by giving examples of providing high-quality support for vulnerable adults. Candidates will also be required to provide an explanation of their organisation's capability and/or past experience of providing housing management in a supported housing setting or similar environment.
