Payment obligations depend on the applicable regime and contract. Consult the official documents.
Coverage: 280 active published awards; 270 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Planning and rationale

No-engagement rationaleNot published
Procedure rationale• Compatibility with existing technology at APHA Weybridge laboratory as both may be used in conjunction to deliver equivalent services at different sites. There needs to be compatibility with data comparison, staff training, exchange of data, quality drivers and existing SOPs. • Extensive validation of the Bruker platform following c10 years of usage by APHA; • Continuity of delivery of UKAS accredited testing accredited to the Bruker platform; • Compatibility with machines in use in diagnostic partners, who are implementing the same platform in their diagnostic bacteriology laboratories to deliver equivalent services to APHA. This will enable APHA to be able to compare performance and experience on same machine and potentially exchange trace files to improve quality of the database for veterinary bacteria and thus improve veterinary diagnostics. At the moment the main market for MALDI-TOF, and thus driver of database is clinical microbiology, so ability to work with a partner to improve veterinary performance is important strategically.
