The decision to transition to electric air compressors, supplied via a separate diesel-generated power feed, was made to enhance site resilience and improve the reliability of the air compressor system. Factair currently provides all planned maintenance, repair, and breakdown support for the existing fleet and holds the technical expertise and operational knowledge necessary to ensure continued reliability and effective support during the transition.

Factair are the incumbent supplier and maintainer of the Sellafield Ltd Breathing Air Fleet across Utilities, Remediation and Retrievals.
