Coverage: 110 active published awards; 45 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Procedure rationaleA tender for Tanks with Multiple lots was published in 2022. This tender consisted of 3 lots and lot 3 of the tender was for Tanks (with or without roofs) for water and wastewater applications including the holding of sludge and wash water. None of the bidders were able to provide tanks with Glass Fused Steel as the material. Scottish Water has an ongoing requirement for Glass Fused Steel Tanks that cannot not be met with alternative materials. Within our specifications we specifically call out glass coated steel tanks and alternative options would not be able to achieve the required storage volumes for Scottish Water’s larger assets. For example, if Scottish Water is required to provide storage for 50m3 sludge, a glass coated steel tank can be designed to that size comfortably due to it being of panel type design. Therefore we intend to put a framework in place with Reliant Installations Limited who have been able to provide tanks using this material previously
