Coverage: 11 active published awards; 11 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Planning and rationale
Planning budgetNot published |
No-engagement rationaleNot published |
Procedure rationaleFDG is only available commercially from a handful of UK suppliers. FDG-18 has a half-life of 110 minutes; this limits the distance over which it can be transported. There are regulatory restrictions on the length of time after production that the FDG-18 can be administered, and so we are reliant on a twice-daily supply from Alliance Medical’s Preston site. No other supplier exists within this radius and so competition is absent for technical reasons. |
