Coverage: 103 active published awards; 90 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

- Lot 1 · #1Individual lot title not publishedplannedPublished valueNot publishedPer year, NHSBT collects circa 1.5 million whole blood donations, 170,000 apheresis platelet donations and 70,000 sourced plasma donations. Prior to acceptance for donation, all donors must undergo haemoglobin (Hb) screening to determine their levels meet the appropriate, acceptable thresholds (Female: 125 - 164g/L. The service must also include the installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of equipment, where equipment is expected to have a minimum 2 year warranty period and must be CE/UKCA marked.
Nationally, there are 80+ blood collection teams in NHSBT and therefore, a requirement to source in the region of 600 machines (6+ devices per team).

It is NHSBTs’ intention to engage with the market to gather detailed information about the market capabilities for this type of service. The format for this will be communicated to those that respond to this PIN.

Supplier Engagement days are likely to be a face to face and located at one of the main NHSBT sites.
