Coverage: 110 active published awards; 45 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
MIEX is a brand name of IXOM, it is a type of ion exchange process. SW have installed MIEX plants at 3 initial sites. These plants are designed by IXOM and compatible resin is required to be used in the process. IXOM also provide servicing and monitoring support on these proprietary products. Performance (DOC removal) is also based on their methodology.

Procedure rationaleMIEX is a brand name of IXOM, it is a type of ion exchange process. SW have installed MIEX plants at 3 initial sites. This includes the MIEX Gold resin, a proprietary product produced and owned by IXOM, that is required for the process and cannot be sourced from a third-party provider. IXOM also provide servicing and monitoring support on these proprietary products. Performance (DOC removal) is also based on their methodology. Alternatives have been considered by SW. A procurement procedure was started for this project in and subsequently cancelled in 2017 due to lack of bidders in the market. There since has been further IEX systems identified which SW are exploring for other SR21 projects. This is a new process for SW which will rely on support from IXOM & at this stage we are required to use their resin.
