What is being bought
HQIP is seeking to procure the following services for the National Joint Registry (NJR) for
England, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the States of Guernsey.
The Statistical Analysis contract provides an intelligence function applying sound statistical
skills, academic rigour and clinical experience to provide intelligent analysis of the data to a
wide variety of stakeholders.
Key areas of work include but are not limited to:
Analysis of standard datasets including implant, hospital and surgeon outcome measures
for the NJR Annual Report and on-going stakeholder information services;
Development of a robust statistical methodology for outlier identification and review of
data validation;
Preparation of an annual research-ready dataset and ongoing research-ready datasets;
targeted auditing of data quality;
Analysis of ad-hoc datasets under instruction from NJR sub-committees
