Coverage: 7 active published awards; 4 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Price reduction compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Procedure rationaleCardiff and Vale University Health Board have a requirement for the maintenance and repair for their tugs and pump trucks across the Health Board. It is essential to the Health Board’s that these vehicles and equipment is maintained and operating correctly. Sourcing this requirement from an alternative supplier would require training, onsite visits and service would be disrupted, in addition due to the age of the fleet the service is currently drafting a specification and seeking funding for the replacement of the tugs. The value of this contract is indicative the Health Board will not fully utilise or exceed the value.
