Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score is a genomic assay that provides a personalised insight into an individual patient’s breast cancer biology. The Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score test addresses the issue overtreatment with chemotherapy, particularly for patients with lymph node-positive breast cancer. In providing a more precise information about tumour biology, it allows many patients to avoid unnecessary chemotherapy. Due to Exact Science being the only provider of this test, the contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 Direct Award A. The lifetime of the contract is £229,500 from 1st July 2027 until 30th June 2028
