Northern Health and Social Care Trust records are currently held and managed by Iron Mountain UK PLC. A Direct Award Contract (DAC) was approved in 2022 as an interim measure pending the establishment of a new NI Regional Health and Social Care Trusts framework, which was anticipated to be in place by August 2025. The implementation of the new regional framework, managed by BSO PaLS, has been delayed and, more…
consequently, an interim contractual arrangement remains necessary. Moving the Trust's existing records to an alternative provider for the intervening period would incur significant costs and would be operationally time prohibitive. Renewal of the DAC with Iron Mountain UK PLC is therefore required to maintain continuity of service and avoid disproportionate costs and operational disruption while awaiting the outcome and implementation of the new regional framework. Iron Mountain UK PLC has advised that it intends to participate in the procurement exercise for the new framework.
