As ‘relevant authority’ Cumberland Council has the statutory responsibility to provide appropriate, timely and robust arrangements for the collection and/or transportation of a deceased person when the death needs to be referred to HM Coroner for investigation if the death occurred within the Cumbria Coroners area.
The Contract Term and Value are given for the maximum period of 6 years. This is based on 3-years plus an optional extension of 2-years and a final extension of 12 months.
