What is being bought

Published requirement description

Blackpool Council sought bids to appoint a single supplier to carry out the operation, inspection and maintenance of all boiler plant and associated equipment, including servicing and completing minor repairs as part of the service up to a value not exceeding £200.

Blackpool Council have appointed a Contractor who clearly demonstrated the ability to meet our requirements and who offered the most economically advantageous tender.

The successful supplier will be responsible for

  • Maintaining a working environment for the building users and tenants that fulfils Blackpool Council’s (BC) obligations as defined in the lease(s).
  • Maintaining the boilers and associated equipment in good working order and to protect the value of Blackpool Council’s assets.
  • Making adequate arrangements for the Health and Safety of persons in or around the buildings and to fulfil all safety requirements particularly in regard to the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act. 1974.
Contract period: 2 Jun 2021 – 1 Jun 2023 (2 yrs)
Delivery: North West
Extensions: This contract is a 2 year contract up until 1/6/23 with the option to extend by 12 months plus 12 months subject to satisfactory review and budget availability. It will retendered after this period and it is a mandatory requirement for the Council to have these services.Variant bids: not allowed
