What is being bought
South Lanarkshire Council has a responsibility under the Health and Safety at Work Etc. Act 1974, Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 19989, Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) 1998 and the Manual Handling Operations Regulation 1992 as amended in 2002, applying to a wide range of activities that involve operation of mobile plant, lifting and access equipment and hand-held plant.
The training courses to be delivered must be suitable for all levels of employees providing they had attended any pre-requisite training appropriate to the learning activity.
The training will be delivered within a venue agreed at time of call off/order placement. All Plant and Equipment that is to be used during the course of the training must be provided by the supplier be technologically relevant, up to date and in good working order. Information will be requested on whether the plant is owned / hired, its age, profile and maintenance regime.
