The UK Ministry of Defence (“The Authority”) intends to award a sole source contract with Alker Fibre Optic Specialists Ltd (“the Contractor”) for modifications and technical refresh of existing fibre optic cabling solution at a value of £194,000.00.
The Authority has chosen a sole source procurement route based on technical grounds. The Contractor has the specific know how, tools and means to meet this requirement and it would be technically impractical for other operators to achieve the required goals.
