Coverage: 112 active published awards; 109 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Price reduction compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Planning and rationale
Planning budgetNot published |
No-engagement rationaleNot published |
Procedure rationaleBoth projects accommodate individuals with complex needs who rely on continuity of care and support, any change of provider or staffing would have a hugely detrimental impact on these individuals and could be very destabilising. Any change could increase the needs of those using the service and create extra demand both by way of assessment and an increase in need within the projects.
Sense Scotland is a specialist provider supporting people with communication support needs associated with complex and sensory disabilities, and their families. Given their unique provision and long-lasting relationships and understanding the client group a direct award would be the most appropriate course of action. |
