What is being bought
Published requirement descriptionThe following is provided in good faith and is intended only as a preliminary background explanation to Translink’s requirement, it does not purport to be all inclusive. Translink is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced organisation to provide ticket roll stock; the requirement is for the production and delivery of ticket rolls that are compatible with the range of Wayfarer ticketing equipment used by their three operating companies, namely Metro, NI Railways and Ulsterbus. Please be aware that Translink is currently deploying new ticket machine devices across the bus and rail network. The anticipated start date is early Feb 2022 however dates may be subject to change. Translink reserves the right to accept part of any Tender from one or any number of Tenderers and may change the contracting strategy at any time.
- Recurrence: Translink may make a call for competition at the end of the initial contract period or after options have been taken. Translink reserve the right to make a call for competition at any point deemed appropriate by Translink and may make no call for competition should the requirement no longer be classified by Translink as recurring.

Precise information on deadline(s) for review procedures:. Translink will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is. communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into. The Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court of Justice in Northern Ireland, Royal Courts of Justice.
