Coverage: 2 active published awards; 2 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

What is being bought
National Highways intends to procure an Owner Controlled Insurance Programme (OCIP) to fulfil the insurance requirements for Lower Thames Crossing (LTC). The Lower Thames Crossing is part of the biggest investment in the UK roads for a generation. It consists of a proposed new All Purpose Trunk Road connecting the A2/M2 in Kent, crossing under the Thames through a twin-bored tunnel before joining the M25 south of Junction 29. This Prior Information Notice ('PIN') is to alert parties that National Highways wishes to commence pre-procurement market engagement and consultation, to inform the development of National Highways' procurement strategy for OCIP. Through this market engagement exercise, National Highways wishes to the gain an understanding on following: • The insurance market dynamics • Market appetite to provide insurance cover in relation to an LTC OCIP relating to construction /infrastructure insurances. • The Insurance markets view on any concerns with the procurement strategy and how these concerns can be mitigated
