What is being bought
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit on behalf of NHS England - East of England (the Commissioner) would like to notify the market of an opportunity to provide Out of Hours Dental Services in Hertfordshire and West Essex and Mid and South Essex for the following Lots.<br/><br/>Lot 1: Hertfordshire and West Essex<br/>Lot 2: Mid and South Essex<br/><br/>The key aims and objectives are as follows;<br/><br/>• Commission forward-thinking dental out of hours provision that is evidenced-based and influenced by stakeholders including the dental community, patients and local Integrated Care Systems (ICS’s).<br/>• Commission appropriate levels of provision in each geographical area, which is evidence-based.<br/>• Commission a service that ensures equity of patient access in terms of location and opening hours. <br/>• Potentially decrease dental emergency attendance at Emergency Departments.<br/><br/>Please note the deadline for ITT submissions is 12:00PM on Wednesday 22nd February 2023.

    Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care System (ICS) encompasses all the Lower Tier Local Authority (LTLA) of Hertfordshire and the LTLAs of Uttlesford, Harlow and Epping Forrest.<br/><br/>The Provider must make available a minimum of 46 hours per week for face-to-face patient care. and as part of core hours, the provider will make appointments available as a minimum, on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays from 11am-3pm and from Monday to Friday 6pm-8pm. During all face to face sessions, 3 patient appointments per hour will be available as a minimum.<br/><br/>A minimum of two locations is required with a recommended distance of at least 15 - 20 miles apart, or within a 30 – 60 minute travel time from each other.<br/><br/>The contract will be for a duration of 5 years with the option to extend for up to a further 2 years with an estimated annual contract value of £499,838.00 per annum.
