    • Change Additional funding to support James Paget Hospital (JPH) catchment dialysis patients at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH). In recognition of additional demand for renal dialysis in Norfolk and Waveney JPH agreed to establish an innovative overnight renal dialysis service at a cost of £300k. This would enable the repatriation of JPH catchment patients from Norwich. In recognition of the 6 months required to establish the JPH service it was agreed to commit £150k to NNUH to flex their capacity as an interim measure. JPH have now confirmed that they are unable to establish an overnight service. Consequently, the remaining £150,000 (of the 24/25 £300k allocation) will be used to support Q3 and Q4 activity at NNUH on the basis that the planned additional capacity at JPH will not now be available and a number of JPH catchment patients will continue to require dialysis at Norwich. Effective date of the modification - 05/01/26 and value of modification is £150,000., Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire: This modification is made at the discretion of the relevant authority and does not render the contract or framework agreement materially different in character. The cumulative change in the lifetime value of the contract or framework agreement, compared to its value when it was entered into, is under 25%. This is a permissible modification in line with Section 13 - 2A and 2B (ii) of The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
