This award has been carried out in accordance with Regulation 14 of the Provider Selection regime (PSR) Regulations 2023.
Publisher note: Following the unforeseeable insolvency of its supplier of planned outpatient Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services, NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICB ("BNSSG ICB") have made an urgent contract award in accordance with Regulation 14 of the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) 2023 Regulations for the provision of Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services (NEPTS) to University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). The awarded contract is for 18-months to ensure the continuity of essential services whilst BNSSG ICB carries out a further procurement process in accordance with PSR Regulations to secure a long-term provider. As part of the process, any BNSSG ICB staff who were identified as having a direct conflict were removed from the process entirely. This was necessary as some BNSSG ICB board members have dual responsibilities to both the BNSSG ICB and the awarded provider. This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
