Coverage: 1 active published awards; 0 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Procedure rationaleThis contract is being directly awarded by Southport and Formby CCG only in order to deliver business continuity whilst work continues system-wide to develop a cardiology pathway for the local population. A collaborative of multiple Providers and CCGs was established in late 2018 with the aim to take a system wide approach to designing cardiology provision for residents in the CCG areas of Southport and Formby, and, also West Lancashire. The members are represented across the system to include all providers commissioned for cardiology services. The primary focus of the collaborative group is to ensure patients requiring cardiology services will receive it in the most appropriate manner and setting. The work of the group focuses on improving clinical outcomes and quality of experience for patients and reducing health inequalities. This VEAT Notice is published under the Public Contract Regulations 2015. It is for clinical services which are Light Touch Regime services for the purpose of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 as specified in Schedule 3 of the Regulations (‘Regulations’). Accordingly, the contracting authority is only bound by those parts of the Regulations detailed in Chapter 3 Particular Procurement Regimes Section 7. The contracting authority is not voluntarily following any other part of the Regulations.
