Coverage: 72 active published awards; 68 bid reports (which may be per lot). Supplier values exclude multi-supplier awards, frameworks and DPS, and use GBP only. They are published award values, not payments. Published-to-award variance compares single-lot, single-award, single-supplier GBP procedures with explicitly non-framework/non-DPS status; increases remain in the average. Unpublished data stays unknown. Awarded suppliers are winners, not all bidders.

Procedure rationaleThe services can be provided only by a particular economic operator for the following reason: - There is absence of competition for technical reasons. The Services to which this procurement relates fall within Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015, as amended. As such, the Authority does not intend to hold itself bound by any of the Regulations, save those applicable to Schedule 3 Services. Owing to the nature of the Services the Authority requires providers who are in close proximity to its patient cohort. Within the geographical boundaries covered by the Authority there is an absence of competition for the services and the Authority has therefore negotiated contracts with the providers technically capable of providing the services. These providers, having provided the services in the geographical area for many years, will further ensure consistency in the provision of care that meets the needs of the local population.
