National Healthcare and Forensic Services in Police Custody

BlueLight Commercial is excited to announce that ‘phase 2’ of the Healthcare and Forensic Services in Police Custody strategy is being now launched. After the success of Phase 1, which includes the development and implementation of a standardised specification; tendering, social value and contract management toolkits, Phase 2 now looks to build on this and further enhance and shape the future of healthcare services in custody, including the future contracting strategy. BlueLight Commercial will be hosting a series of workshops in March and April with the following workshops now confirmed: Manchester: 21st March, 9.30-12.30 Leeds: 23rd March, 9.30-12.30 Newcastle: 25th March, 9.30-12.30 Birmingham: 31st March, 9.30-12.30 9.30am – arrival, tea/coffee 10.00am – workshop 1: shaping healthcare services in police custody. Understand more about the healthcare service, discuss issues, lessons learned, risks, ideas, innovation, the procurement process, contract management – anything you feel is important to help drive continuous improvement within healthcare services for custodial environments. 11.00am – break 11.15am – workshop 2: the procurement process. Understand more about the public sector procurement process, tender documentation that will need to be completed, what to expect from the process, timescales etc. 12.15pm - close Colleagues from Police Forces, NHS England and the Forensic Capability Network will be in attendance at these workshops.
